One Day
One spin is 23 hours 56 minutes
4 minutes less time to complete its spin but as we move one degree further around the sun we need to go that extra degree to get back to that noon day sun

360 degrees around the sun
365.25 days each 86400 seconds long
31,557,600 seconds ticking by
not so long ago was a typical lifespan, but now many more of us live well into our eighties or beyond
Twenty Years in Education
Twenty Years Developing our Skills
Twenty Years Perfecting them
Twenty years easing up and sharing our wisdom
or
Thirty in Education
Thirty Continuously Developing
Thirty easing up and sharing our wisdom
I can remember when I was young talking to my grandmother about her early life before and after the first world war.
These first hand family memories now take me back to a world that seems as tangible as that of my own,
her memories held close with those of my youth.
These aural links like nursery rhymes and lullabies through overlapping lives still carry our living memories onwards
mine reach back maybe one hundred years
but some folk songs and nursery rhymes reach further back into earlier centuries
There was a time, before writing, before history when these stories or pictures
were our only way back and the only measure of our direction speed and future.
Writing in pictures was already well developed
but in the most fertile and developed parts of the world
the first known alphabets were writing down stories
that we still read today.
People were living around London
There were pictures and stories and songs and rhythm
but no writing on the wall quite yet
but in the most fertile and parts of the world
where cities grew fed fat by their fertile rivers and reliable floods,
there were surpluses to count and divide up
How far will we get in just one day …
